- Your skin cells renew themselves i.e. old cells die out (dead skin) and new ones are formed every few days. This life-cycle of skin cells slows-down as we age making skin look aged, tired and dull
- As far as anti-ageing skincare is concerned, prevention is better than cure, so start early
- The Sun is the biggest culprit for accelerating skin ageing so guard against it and guard well
Age brackets:
Teens – early 20s:
- Skincare Must-dos: Use a broad spectrum physical sunscreen daily that guards against both UVA and UVB rays + Use a mild face wash daily + tone daily + exfoliate two times a week.
- Good to do: Mud masks 2 times a week + massage the gel in morning and evening.
- Product suggestions:
Mid 20s to early 30s:
- Skincare Must-dos: Some signs of ageing will usually become apparent by the time you hit your late 20s / early 30s. That’s when you can start using anti-aging products to boost collagen and elastin production.
- Good to do: Exfoliate your skin 2-3 times a week and use a mud mask 3-4 times a week.
