Just Herbs now has an official stamp of approval from PETA bearing testimony to the fact that we never have and never will test on animals.
I am elated to report that People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India has verified that neither us nor our ingredient suppliers conduct, commission, or pay for any tests on animals for ingredients, formulations, or finished products.
Why is this important?
Most experiments on animals are not relevant to human health as they do not contribute meaningfully to medical advances. They’re are undertaken simply out of curiosity and do not even pretend to hold promise for curing illnesses.
Studies have shown time and again that animal experimentation wastes lives, both animal and human, and precious resources by trying to infect animals with diseases that they would never normally contract.
A number of countries have implemented bans on the testing of certain types of products on animals, such as the cosmetics testing bans in the European Union, India, and Israel.
We at Just Herbs believe that animals have an inherent worth, a value completely separate from their utility to humans. We believe that every creature with a will to live has a right to live free from pain and suffering. The value of each life in and of itself cannot be superseded by its potential value to anyone else.
